Full Face Highlighter Challenge

If you watch YouTube, are a fan of Jeffree Star, NikkieTutorials, or Manny MUA, you might have heard of the Full Face Highlighter Challenge. Many of these incredibly talented makeup artists created beautiful artistic looks using only highlighters on the face. Talk about radiant gods and goddesses. I was inspired and wanted to create a more settle look using a full face of highlighters. The challenge for me was to create an extreme dewy, glow look, for me. If you want my videos or read my blog, you know I am typically less is more when it comes to makeup. For the challenge, I wanted to stay true to myself, but also step outside of my comfort zone. Thanks to a beautiful lavender strobe powder that Jessica, from Moonplay Cosmetics (coming out in July) custom blended for us at a recent photoshoot, I was able to mix in highlighters in most of my non highlighting products. This helped give me the glow and radiance I wanted for the challenge, but also not have to use a full on highlight for foundation or powder.

I was quite happy with the results of my dewy goddess look, actually I would even wear my full face highlighter challenge makeup look for a fun night out. Watch the video below to let me know what you think of the results of my full face highlighter challenge. Remember makeup is all about self expression and doing whatever makes you feel happy and beautiful. At the end of the day, it’s just makeup. You CAN wash it off. I think this is why I love the challenge so much, it’s FUN!

Will you be joining in on the challenge? I’d love to see what you create! Tag me if you do decide to play. While it was scary to step outside of my comfort zone, it was also a lot of fun! It remind me why I love makeup so much, because I like to play. Yes, makeup makes us feel better and lets us cover our imperfections, but I also love how it can transform us and make us feel like a fairy queen or mermaid for a few hours. I encourage you to try something new, step outside of your comfort zone, and share it with me!
