I have so many empties! Being a beauty blogger, I collect my trash. If you're new to this concept, basically we collect all our empty beauty products and share our thoughts in a video or blog post after finishing an entire product. For me hitting pan or using something up completely is always an accomplishment. So I save them. Somehow it's gotten a bit out of control, therefore I've decided to start a weekly series of empties here on the blog. This week, did I find the best mascara yet? With five mascara empties would I repurchase or recommend any of them. Like most, I am on a constant hunt for the best mascara. I have Asian lashes and dream of big full long doll like ones, so it's a quest.

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE THE BEST MASCARA
Everyone has their own requirements when it comes to mascara. Here are mine.
Wand
When it comes to the wand, it has to fit my eyes. I have flatter eyes and smaller eyes, so a giant mac daddy wand is just going to make a mess. Typically I prefer a traditional brush wand, but there are a few rubber wands I like, just not too spikey. Does the wand grab my lashes? I need a little friction to grab and pull my lashes to enhance the curl.
Formula
Not too wet and not too dry. I'm looking for a formula that offers volume, holds a curl, is buildable, and doesn't weigh down my lashes. It also can't be sticky or clumpy. A little clump is good for volume, but spider legs is not my thing.
Waterproof
No. Just no. I hate waterproof mascara. It's hard to remove, sticky, and I end up tugging at my eyes and pulling out lashes at the end of the night to try and remove it. To no avail, I'll wake up with mascara the next morning.
Now that you know my requirements for a mascara, here are my thoughts on five recent empties.

TOO FACED BETTER THAN SEX MASCARA
I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. The wand is definitely too big for me to use without causing somewhat of a mess. Formula wise, it's great at building volume, holding a curl, and lasting all day without smudging. For me the wand kind of ruins the mascara. If only the wand was just a tiny bit shorter or thinner. (shop here)
Will I repurchase?
No, but I do have a bunch in my stash, so I'll use it if I need to.
MALLY BEAUTY VOLUMIZING MASCARA
The traditional brush distributes the mascara beautifully. Not too big and not too small. Great at building volume and lifting the lashes as you comb through. The formula is a bit wet the first few uses, but starts to break in mid week. My one complaint about the mascara is after a few weeks, you'll want to wipe off the wand before applying because the formula starts to build up. I think this is due to the tube and how it holds product by the opening. (shop here)
Will I Repurchase?
Yes, I've repurchased multiple times already. Definitely recommend for volume.

LASHFOOD CONDITIONING DRAMA MASCARA
Not a bad mascara with a traditional wand that works well with my eyes. If you are looking for a mascara that also conditions your lashes and nano-peptide complex which improves strength and vitality of lashes, then this is the mascara for you. The result is a natural volume with a bit of length. Very fluttery and perfect for everyday. I liked using this because I felt it helped with my lash fallout and lash strength. (shop here)
Would I Repurchase
Yes, while not immediately. There are lots of mascaras on the market now with peptides to help with lash growth and strength, this one doesn't stand out from the others I've tried in anyway that would make me have to have it. It is however the most affordable of the lash conditioning mascaras I've tried at $20.
BLINC MASCARA
Thanks to Jackie, I bought this mascara and it's primer. The mascara itself works beautifully at creating luscious voluminous lashes. Traditional wand. When paired with the primer, you can create a beautiful false lash effect. This is a tubing mascara, so no smudging and endless length and volume. Tubing mascaras do just that, create a tube around your lashes. You can easily remove the tubes by using warm water and gently massaging the lashes. The tubes will fall right off. (shop here)
Would I Repurchase
Heck yes! It's pricy since I like to also have the primer to go with it, but it beats trying to apply false lashes.

SOAP and GLORY THICK & FAST HD MASCARA
To be honest I don't remember much about this mascara. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The wand was a bit too big and overall it wasn't memorable. (shop here)
Would I Repurchase?
No, I don't think it's worth revisiting at this time. Maybe in the future.

Hi Serein…im so glad you posted this review/recommendations. I have sparse, straight, short lashes and nothing seems to work. I had beautiful lashes when I was younger and I long for that effect. The Blinc sounds like it may be a winner. Thanks again for your insight.

Hi Mona- So happy you liked the post. Also try a lash serum to help with your lash growth. Can’t wait to hear what you think!
Great reviews. Definitely some in the mix I will be putting on my ” to try” list!
Thanks😄

Ah I’m already loving this series! ❤️

Yay! So happy to hear!
Hi Serein,
I am like you and on a hunt for the perfect mascara. I have Asian lashes too, but mines are stubborn and straight with some fall out. I am also on a hunt for a good lash growth serum for my missing lashes.
I’ve tried so many different ones and don’t like the chubby wands either. Sorry, I don’t have an absolute favorite at this time, so I value your reviews and recommendations.
Hmm, maybe I’ll have to try the Blinc mascara!

Hi Karen!
I’ve been using the lash serum I bought on Amazon in my Amazon Best Selling video and love it. It’s gentle, but I feel like it’s working, plus it’s not too pricy compared to other serums. Hope that helps!
I wish those brands you liked were available here for me to try. I have to stick to a very trusty safe mascara for the moment- it’s Bourjous Volume Glamour one, at least my eyes tolerate it well and it lasts for 6 months for me which saves my money, I quite appreciate that. 🙂

Oh I wish they would bring Bourjous to the states, I love the products from them. Hopefully I’ll be able to visit the UK again soon and stock up 🙂 Thanks for reading!
I can’t wait to try Blinc! It sounds amazing. I like the Christian Dior DiorShow mascara, and the Loreal Voluminous mascara.

I love the L’oreal Voluminous mascara, such a great buy at the price and performance. Need to try the DiorShow mascara, I think I ordered it in my Sephora VIB haul it’s that one or the new pump up one. Thanks for visiting the blog!
Love the run down, Serein! My eyelids are quite oily and normal mascara tend not to last through the day for me so I love tubing mascaras. The Blinc ones are my OG favs, but I’ve never tried the primer. Perhaps I should give it a shot! Does it really make a huge difference? 👀 The other tubing one I’ve tried in the past months that I love is the Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara, I definitely recommend it! ♡

I think the primer does add a lot of volume and a bit more length. It can be pricey to spend on both though. I just ordered the Kevyn Aucoin one from the Sephora VIB sale, can’t wait to try it!
One of my favorites is Loreal original voluminous mascara. I think for the price point it does a really nice job of holding a curl, volumizing, and making my lashes appear longer. Not the best but also not the worst. I really would like to try the Blinc mascara that you reviewed. Seems very promising!

I like the L’oreal Voluminous as well, for the price it’s good. Oh I just tried the essence one in my Amazon video and OH MY GOSH! It’s so good and only $4!
“Tubing mascara”???!! I had to google that:) (Yeah. I’m ignorant like that) But. I learned a new thing! Sephora has a great video showing how Blinc works. $26 for each-mascara, & primer! I like the IT Cosmetics superhero also, which is my daily go-to. Yesterday for the 1st time I used Lorac’s Special effects, which has a primer on one end, & Mascara on the other. It did not flake, & Serein I think you will like the wand. Will see how it does. Blinc has caught my eye presently;)

Don’t worry about it! I only learned about it the past year or so. Thanks for stopping by and reading! I’ll need to try the LORAC one.
I’ll give it warl I never tried other then too face and am eh about it

Thanks for stopping by to read.
I purchased the Blinc and absolutely loved it. Thinking of repurchasing it but I have so many others that I have to use. Have you tried L’oreal’s Lash Paradise? My friend got it for me and it will be the next one I try.
Right now, I’m loving IT Cosmetics Superhero mascara! It’s the best. The best volume and length and doesn’t feel heavy on my lashes.

Totally agree about the Blinc mascara. I have to use some up before buying more, but I do love it. I did try the L’oreal lash paradise. It ended up in my Products That Suck video… so that’s how I feel about it. Some love it, I just think the original carbon black or voluminous is better.
I’ve never tried this mascara but it looks great!
