This blog post is a Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Foundation review.
I recently filmed a first impression review Tester Tuesday of the Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Foundation. After a full week of wearing this foundation, this is my updated review.
Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Foundation Review
If you’d like to see my initial first impressions as well as close ups and wear test in natural light, watch the Tester Tuesday video.
This is Bobbi Brown’s #1 foundation. It’s supposed to be a medium matte coverage with 16 hour wear.
MULTIDIMENSIONAL MATTE FINISH: Treated skin-true pigments suspended in an emollient gel base float on skin, reflecting light to enhance skin’s natural contours and dimension. Instantly conceals redness, discoloration, and pores with buildable coverage.
COMFORTABLE SECOND-SKIN FEEL: Infused with humectants and marine sugarcane algae extract, this moisturizing formula visibly minimizes pores and strengthens skin’s barrier. Naturally derived mineral powders help keep excess oil and shine in check, while moisture-binding glycerin and shea butter deliver refreshing hydration.
In a 4-week consumer study with 101 participants:
- 96% said it immediately left their skin looking shine-free
- 93% felt it immediately minimized the look of pores
- 92% said their skin looked more even toned throughout the day
- 91% said their skin looked fresh throughout the day
- 84% felt it left their skin feeling hydrated
- 81% said the foundation stood up to all their activities

My Final Thoughts on The Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Foundation
I currently have normal to oily skin and tested the shade warm beige.
Does It Live Up To All The Claims?
The Bobbie Brown Skin Long-Wear Foundation is a matte medium coverage foundation that offers a nice even finish. There was no need to set other than to have a smoother application of additional color products. The foundation did seem to reduce shine without over drying the skin.
However I found the foundation to wear off on my chin and around my nose. This was typically caused by my newborn headbutting me in the chin and possibly rubbing the foundation off. By setting the foundation I got a little more wear, but not much.
Do I Recommend Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Foundation?
I don’t dislike the foundation, but it hasn’t wowed me like some recent ones I’ve tried either. I’m also more of a tinted moisturizer gal for day to day.
Both the Exa High Fidelity Foundation and Orce have a beautiful medium coverage that can be sheered out for day to day. They also last longer than the Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Foundation on me.
