Boohoo Two Piece + Chanel Heels

Who doesn’t love an easy to wear outfit for a night out? When I saw this two piece from Boohoo, I had to have it. This outfit is comfortable, flattering, and easy to wear, especially when paired with my new Chanel heels with pearl detailing. If you missed the unboxing of these beautiful Chanel heels, you can watch the unboxing video here. Stepping outside my comfort zone, I choose the grey two piece from Boohoo instead of the black that is also offered. I’m so happy I did! The grey color is perfect for spring and summer, but still dressy enough for an evening out. I can also dress it down by adding a denim jacket.

The shoes are a new addition to my ever growing designer shoe collection. The Chanel heels are a classic and I am so happy I bought them for myself. Designer shoes are an investment, but my aging feet need them. As I’ve gotten older, my feet can no longer tolerate painful shoes. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of designer shoes that hurt. A la Christian Louboutin. You might have sexy feet and a signature red sole, but your feet will by crying in pain within a few hours. I have no idea how I managed to wear my wedding shoes all day! When I first tried on the Chanel heels, I was shocked at how comfortable they were. The stacked heel offers support and stability. Quality leather is soft against my delicate skin and molds to my feet for comfort. There were a few other designer shoes in the lineup that drew my interest, but I went with the Chanel ones because they seemed like a timeless piece to add to my wardrobe. I wanted something that I could wear year round and that would stand the test of time. When I invest in pieces, they need to last. My first ever pair of designer shoes were a pair of chunky platform, stacked heels from Prada 2006. During the holiday sales at Barney’s New York, my mom was visiting me and bought me my first designer shoes, which I still adore and wear today.

Designer shoes, handbags, sunglasses, and jewelry are investment pieces. I look at them as special additions to add to my wardrobe. Each piece can elevate an outfit. While my clothing items are defiantly on the affordable side, I like to mix high and low when it comes to my outfits. Recently, I’ve been trying new things and stepping outside of my comfort zone. I’ve been inspired to try new things in life and my fashion choices are reflecting these risks.  So is my hair! If you haven’t seen my new do, check out the makeover here.
