For over a year now I have been on the hunt for the perfect denim dress. I wanted the denim dress to be casual, yet elevated. It needed to be light weight for the hot L.A. weather, just short enough to show off my legs, but not too short. Most importantly my denim dress had to have a waist. Most denim dresses I have tried on have made me look frumpy and just didn’t quite fit right. I was super excited to have found this capped sleeve button through denim dress from Boohoo for only $32 and it fits perfectly! If you follow me on Snapchat (sereinwu) you’d have seen me wear this dress out to lunch this past weekend for my family birthday lunch. When I visit my mom, it can be a long day and I need to be prepared for anything, most importantly I need to be comfortable. The Evie Capped Sleeve Button Through Denim Dress from boohoo is just that. The fabric is light weight, the button through makes it easy to put on and take off, the draw string waist complements my figure, and the skirt is just the right length. Make sure to read my latest post on getting older here.
I paired the denim dress with some easy to walk in platform sandals from Qupid this alway helps elongate my legs and I tend to like a little hight. My handbag of choice was my Chloe Fay medium shoulder bag in Tobacco. The perfect Spring color for a handbag. Also a treat to myself this last winter. Chloe holds a special place in my heart. My mom bought me my first Chloe bag almost 10 years ago as a Christmas present when I was living in New York. I treasure that bag to this day. It is also probably my most worn bag in my handbag collection. A few years ago, my mom surprised me again by buying me the Chloe Paraty medium handbag in grey for Christmas, which is actually on sale now. Chloe makes great quality handbags.
It’s been a very emotional few weeks for me. My birthday tends to always bring out a lot of self reflection. With everything that has happened in the last year, it’s hard to celebrate sometimes, but I am trying to remember to savor each moment I have with those I love. Life is just too short. I truly appreciate all the birthday wishes and the incredible amount of support you guys have show me through everything. Thank you so much for being here for me and for reading my posts!
