Casual in Banana Republic

casual Banana Republic Spring fashion

Today’s post is all about this casual head to to Banana Republic outfit. These casual Banana Republic fashion pieces are perfect for a Spring wardrobe. I’m loving today’s casual Banana Republic Spring fashion look. I haven’t walked into a Banana Republic store in ages, but recently I visited the well stocked Grove location and fell in love. Everything was 40% off regular price and I decided to pick up a whole new outfit including this adorable handbag. If you have been following me on Instagram (follow me!) you’ll notice I’m a little obsessed with cropped denim and frayed seams. I found the perfect pair from Banana in a dark wash. It’s difficult for me to find denim in my perfect fit, especially cropped ones because for some reason designers like to make all denim super long. This 5’4″ real girl needs denim cut for regular leg lengths not super models, so THANK YOU Banana Republic for making cropped denim that actually don’t need to be taken into the tailors to be hemmed. You can shop my exact pair here. I am in a size 27 petite.

While at the Grove, I also popped into the Schultz pop up store and walked out with two new pairs of spring/summer sandals. With such a casual outfit, I wanted to dress it up a bit with these Shultz Darby sandals. I love the neutral colors, but the fun pop of leopard to mix it up. The heel is low enough to walk around in all day and not get tiered. All of the Schultz shoes I tried on were surprisingly comfortable and very well crafted. They are scheduled to open up a permanent Los Angels Location in Beverly Hills early April. This could get very dangerous for me. You can find out which other pair I purchased in an upcoming “Spring Fashion Haul + Try On” video going up Sunday.

It’s been awhile since I wore a button up shirt, but this one from Banana drew my attention. I love the ease and comfort of it. At first I was worried it might look too much like a pair of pajamas, but with the right styling and tucking part of the front in, it’s quite flattering. I love how it is still casual, but elevated. You can purchase the shirt here. I am in a size small.

I have been eyeing this bucket bag on the website for a few weeks now. Actually, it was this bag that brought me into a store. I wanted to see it in person before purchasing. What’s been missing in my wardrobe is a great light colored bag that was versatile and yet not out of control in cost. Let’s face it, this bag is going to get used and probably dirty very fast this season, so I didn’t want to spend high-end designer prices on a light color handbag. When I walked into the store I made a bee line for this baby and I am so happy I did. This goes with everything and fits everything without being too big.

I’ve really been inspired lately by dressing myself happy. My love for fashion has been recharged and I’m making more of an effort to style myself and put together fun, feel good outfits to wear. What have been some of your new wardrobe favorites? Have you been eyeing a new spring bag or shoe? I would love to know in the comments! Better yet, send me a link via twitter, or snap me a pic on snapchat (user name sereinwu). I love hearing from you guys thought the day, it really cheers me up sometimes!

Thank you so much! Oh bummer! I rarely go in there, but I defiantly scored with the sale the day I went. There are so many Australian brands I lust after fashion and beauty wise, but isn’t that how it always is :-p

I’ve had my eye on that bag too! The color is so great for spring outfits. It looks a little bigger than I had hoped though (I’m 5’4″ also). Love those fun leopard sandals!

It’s such a great spring bag! I know, when I saw it my heart sank a little, but once I played with it, I decided to get it anyways because as a cross body (how I wear it out and about) it’s a good length. Thanks for stopping by the blog!
