What happens when it rains in L.A.? All hell breaks loose and I have nothing to wear! Today’s outfit of the day was a quick thrown together mix of wardrobe pieces I’ve had for years, a pair of cropped denim I thrifted last weekend with Kristina from Style by Wilde, and a new handbag from Coach. Not being accustomed to rainy weather, my wardrobe is pretty limited for a day of walking around in the rain. Case and point, this is probably not very practical for rain at all, but I had an umbrella. I found this navy duster in the back of my closet from a few years ago and liked how it warmed up my otherwise causal spring shopping outfit. Our schedules have been so crazy lately, we have to plan our exploring time together, unfortunately the weather did not agree with our schedule, but Hubs and I still managed to have a great time walking round Beverly Hills and The Grove. I also topped off the rest of my Spring wardrobe. Keep an eye out next week on YouTube for my Spring Fashion Haul + Try On video. I wanted to wear this black lace up crop top from Brandy Melville I bought back in late October, during a major retail therapy session (right around the time my mom had her stoke). For some reason most of the items I bought during that time, I haven’t worn. There must be some emotional stuff about it, but with my limited wardrobe budget, I thought it was time to make use of the items I purchased. The top worked great with one of the many new crop denim I thrifted last weekend. You probably saw the silliness if you follow me on Snapchat (sereinwu). Thank you Kristina! What ever will I do when she moves to Paris in a few months? Cropped denim is a bit of an obsession of mine right now and finding them for under $20 was the highlight of my weekend. With my fluctuating weight currently, I did not want to invest too much in denim, especially trendy ones like these. Also I was able to distress a few pairs even more and not feel guilty about it. I’ll defiantly be posting lots of outfits featuring all the denim I found last weekend. With the rain, I opted for these patent leather oxford heels I found a few years ago at a Nine West Outlet. The shoe is surprisingly comfortable and kept my feet dry from the rain. My sunnies are borrowed from DITTO, they are the Miu Miu black with brown lilac gradient lenses. If you are a sunglass junkie like me, defiantly try out DITTO. It is $24 a month to try out any pair of designer sunglasses on the site. When you are done with the ones you have, you can choose new ones and they will ship out them out. Once the new ones arrive, you just pop the old ones in the mail with a pre-paid shipping label, so you are never without sunglasses. I love the option to try before buying and also the ability to have new designer sunglasses whenever I want. You can use “dressyouselfhappy” for a free 1st month. I paired the whole outfit with a Coach Crosstown Crossbody in Smooth Calf Leather handbag. Coach has really stepped up their game this season. Their return back to classic, quality, leather pieces has really caught my eye. The new designs are pieces I want to invest in because I can see them lasting for years and something I would be able to hand down to my daughter. The customer service has also stepped up their game. Since I bought this handbag, I have had two follow up phone calls to make sure I received my custom engraved tag, and that I am loving my purchase. I can even bring in my bag for a detailing every few months. Overall I have been trying to shake up my wardrobe and essentially dress myself happy. It’s been a rough few month and while I have managed to handle everything, I noticed that I had loss a bit of passion for my wardrobe. At first it was because nothing fit with the weight gain, then I didn’t want to spend money on clothes because I feel unhealthy and uncomfortable in my own body. Now that I am taking action to feel healthy and strong again, I have found a new desire to revamp my wardrobe and put together fun outfits that make me feel good. I spend so much time working from home, that I hate wasting a good outfit, but I truly felt amazing in what I wore. It made me feel confident, comfortable, and I loved being out and about in it. The whole day re-energized me. I even filmed 3 videos when I got home! Dressing yourself happy is a real thing and I am making the effort to step up my game. Do you have an outfit that made you feel amazing? I would love to know what it was. Feel free to tweet them to me or mention me on Instagram, I’d love to see them! xoxo Serein All photos taken and edited by Chris Ledford of Ledford Creative Shop this post + similar items

You look great in these photos and I love that bag! Haven’t looked at Coach bags for a long time – might have a look to see what’s new there.
thank you so much! I was quite surprised when I walked into Coach and found so many classic fun styles.
Love the whole look. I would not have recognized that as a Coach bag. Very nice!
Thank you Shirley for reading xoxo
For real you got me into fitness again I know how you feel on gaining and loosing weight and that is not actually healthy my doctor said to me that I better stay on my average weight or else the things I don’t feel now will show up later. And loosing weight being healthy really makes your confidence skyrocket ᕙ(`▿´)ᕗ and you will be able to find more treasure clothes than just fashionable ones (✿◠‿◠)
aw that makes me so happy to hear! It’s all about feeling good inside and out. Thank you so much for reading and commenting!
