Christian Louboutin Lipstick

Last year I purchased the Christian Louboutin nail polish. Despite the hefty $50. I was impressed with the formulation of the beautiful rouge shade on top of the beautiful packaging. This year Christian Louboutin launched a lipstick. I just knew I had to get my hands on at least one of the ultra luxe works of art.

Christian Louboutin Lipstick

Each lipstick is packaged in a beautiful, sleek black box. The interior is Louboutin red and holds the precious lipsticks in place.
Christian Louboutin Rouge Matte Lipstick Some have thought the packaging too loud. Some have thought it to look like a Christmas ornament. I have to say it’s very unique and defiantly makes a statement, but it’s also very much in line with the designers theme and esthetics. The packaging is a work of art and feels weighted and luxurious. It reminds me of the days of pride in craftsmanship. Having them displayed on my makeup table brings a bit of royalty to my Ikea desk. Louboutin Red matte lipstick My favorite is the Rouge Louboutin Velvet Matte Lip Colour pictured above. There are three finishes in the collection, mate, sheer, and satin. Each finish has a rouge shade in black packaging. I choose the matte finish because I love a good matte red lipstick anytime. The matte formulation is one of the best I have ever tried and I have tried a lot. It is not drying and super long lasting. The application is smooth and beautifully pigmented.

If you’d like to see the lipsticks in action with lip swatches, you can view my video here or below. Warning I miss pronounce Louboutin and have since been corrected. So bare in mind while watching.

The next shade I picked up, is the sheer formula in petal rose. This formulation is perfect for everyday wear or those who prefer a more natural sheer finish. Petal rose is a great color for everyday wear. Again I am impressed with the formulation. The sheer formal is hydrating, smooth, just pigmented enough, and comfortable to wear. Christian Louboutin Sheer Finish Lipstick

Neither formulation accentuate your lip lines and most importantly for me, they are both very comfortable on the lip and wear off nicely. At $90 a pop, these are defiantly not a must have, but a luxurious splurge to treat yourself to. If you love collecting makeup and enjoy pretty packaging with good high quality product and have the cash to spare, defiantly look into these beauties. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Christian Louboutin has always had a special place in my life. I splurged on my first pair of Louboutin heels for my first fashion show I attended, which also happened to be my first “Hollywood” event when I moved to L.A.. I bought myself a pair of Louboutins when I was feeling extremely depressed in my life. For my wedding I knew I wanted a pair of blue Louboutins to wear down the aisle. The season I got engaged, there was a style exactly as I envisioned for my wedding day. I bought my shoes before my dress. To be honest, I had no idea what I wanted my wedding day to look like, but I knew which shoes I wanted to wear. You can watch my wedding video here.

Last year I picked up the Louboutin nail polish around our 2 year anniversary and this year I picked up the lipsticks. To me it’s more than just a lipstick. To me, Mr. Louboutin has been a part of all major adult life memories.

XOXO

Louboutine lipsticks is more like a Yes or No. The product depends on the budget of the person depends whether buying it for the nice formula and as part of the collection.

Ugh these are so beautiful! I said to myself that $90 was a ridiculous price for lipstick when I first saw the promo but now I don’t know I might just get one shade that I’ll know I’ll wear a lot.
