Another Monday passed, another Makeup Bag Monday to go. Here is Makeup Bag Monday 51! (I know I’m a little late on the blog post, but life has been a bit crazy) Only 1 left in the series before I introduce a new weekly makeup review series for the blog and my channel.

You can always catch up on Makeup Bag Mondays HERE.

This week was a bit disappointing with multiple failed products and a few underwhelming ones. Watch this week’s video HERE and find out which were the failed products.

Can you guess what were the failed products from this week’s makeup bag? Here’s a hint. One product stung my face as I applied it and smelled like alcohol. The other major failed product turned my face green and dried up my already dry areas. While not everyone feels the same about products, I do know many of you have commented letting me know that the burning sensation also happened to you when testing out this makeup setting spray. Fair warning, do test this in store before purchasing. It’s so shocking that they released it with so many having this issue. Hopefully they are able to fix the stinging aspect, since the concept is great!

Can you believe it’s been a full year of Makeup Bag Monday?! Really it’s been longer since I originally started the series here. Who would have thought that a series created to motivate me to rotate my makeup collection would have became what you all know today as Makeup Bag Monday. I’m so happy you have all enjoyed the series so much. Also truly appreciate the support for the new series I’m coming out with. This week I launched my first DIY makeup video for a series of DIY beauty projects. After Makeup Bag Monday, I’ll be wrapping up the series with a Best Of Makeup Bag Monday and launching a top 5 series. Each week I’ll share with you top fives. See reviews aren’t going anywhere!

With everything I’ve been dealing with, I wanted to truly declutter my life and live more consciously and sustainably. So where do I start? I’ve started the declutter process of my makeup collection. I’m pretty good about purging often, but this round I’m being very strict. Even if I like the product, if I haven’t used it or it’s slightly too old, it’s going. Wrong shade? Toss it. Drawer too full? Gone! Definitely stay tuned for the declutter series launching week of August 21st.
