Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop – Affordable Healthy Food

Eating three meals a day has become a challenge with my recent work load and a bit discouraging for my fitness and health goals. I love food especially fatty foods and junk foods. We eat out a lot and it’s difficult to always make the healthier choice on the menu. When you work from home, going out to grab food is a much needed break. Eating out is also one of the only times hubs and I sit down and just catch up and enjoy eachother’s company. Working crazy hours, makes finding fast, healthy, affordable food options difficult. Recently, I was invited to visit Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop. Greenleaf offers fresh and healthy foods on the go and at an affordable price. There are plenty of pre made grab and go options as well as a full menu for those who have a little more time to sit and enjoy a fresh meal.

Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop Mission Statement

Our mission statement is part philosophy and part unwavering commitment to ourselves and our customers.

Live Well.” We are committed to using the finest and freshest local ingredients combined with gourmet cooking techniques to serve our customers an affordable yet creative dining option in a fun, comfortable, and relaxed environment.

Our first visit,

we decided to try the Hollywood location before an event in the area. Currently, Greenleaf has 7 locations in the Los Angeles area. Walking in, I was immediately impressed by the healthy food options that Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop has to offer. Most impressive are the prices. Living in Los Angeles, we have tons of healthy food options, but it can get pretty expensive to eat out, even if we are just having salads. Greenleaf offers healthy foods at a great price and all with a welcoming environment. You can view the menu here.  The entrees are between $9-$16 dollars and the portions are filling.

The decor is warm and inviting. A mix of modern and rustic chic. You walk in, place your order at the walk up register, and take a number. The food arrives at your table fast and hot. I ordered the salmon with spinach. Hubs ordered a traditional burger. We both decided to get chips and dip, which turned out to be fresh homemade guacamole and salsa, and for dessert we split a brownie. There are lots of healthier beverage options and you can even order cocktails.

Hubs and I had a great experience. We left feeling satisfied and full.

Check out all the locations of Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop here.

What are some of your favorite healthier restaurant options?

xoxo

This looks delicious! I also struggle to step away from my work and eat 3 times a day. Its hard for me to choose the healthier options, but I limit myself to eating junk food on the weekends and during the week i eat mostly clean. It works great for me because I don’t feel like I’m missing out on all of my favorite HORRIBLE foods. Nothing better than greasy fries on a Saturday!

Hey Serein! I’m originally from Miami and one of my favorite places to eat was the Mint Leaf. It’s an amazing Indian restaurant with beautiful decor and a very modern and chic atmosphere. It’s in the gables so it’s a bit pricey but the food is so decadent and worth every penny. I’m vegan and they have so many wonderful and delicious options that make every visit an experience!

In Ellsworth, Maine, there is a restaurant called 86 This. And they have incredible wraps. They are so good and they are huge so they really fill you up. But there’s one with sweet potato that’s really good, and a barbecue chicken one that’s also to die for. And I never feel gross after eating there, like I do at other restaurants.

My favorite lunch spot is at my local community college’s cafe. It was the first time I had a quiche–regardless of it just being a simple spinach and tomato quiche, but it was so good. This is also the place I go to everyday to eat lunch with friends or just study 🙂

I go to school in MA and grew up going to Cambridge as a kid. I love a chain called Clover in MA! They have delicious juices and a short menu of food made with local ingredients. They also are very open with customers, so if you are ever in the Boston area, check it out!

Unfortunately there aren’t many healthy places to go out to eat where I’m located. There’s is this amazing place called 929 coffee bar, though! They aren’t always healthy but they have a ton of healthy options as well! They also do huge pot luck dinners for the community, which I think is awesome!!

Here in the Bay Area we have a ton of healthy affordable places! Since health and sustainability are pretty important around here, the market for good, cheap food allows the prices and quality of food to stay competitive. Visit us up north!

Changing the way we see food and the types of foods we eat is very hard. Food is a way we socialized and celebrate. I am the Clinical Director for a Pediatric Weight Management Program and I help teach children and their families how to make the healthy choice the easy choice. It is hard because these kids have learned a “certain” way of eating and now we are trying to change their “normal”. Teaching kids and their families to put healthy things in their body and to move their muscles and bones in a healthy way can be quite challenging. As we continue to mature…our bodies want to maintain homeostats…. it doesn’t want to change:)

Good luck:) YOLO!!! Live life happy and healthy:)

My husband & I frequent a breakfast/brunch place called First Watch that is close by, it has terrible hours as it usually closes at 2pm but the food is a great healthier choice when compared to many places near us. They are definitely a favorite of ours for good reason. That food looks awesome, wish we had it here.

Being from Houston, TX you would think most options are fatty and you would be right in many respects. I do love this restaurant called local foods. They offer an array of healthy sandwiches and salads. They even offer the option to turn the sandwiches into a salad. Everything is fresh and tastes really great.

I used to live in the US years ago and am now living in Singapore, so I won’t be able to comment much about where my favourite lunch spot is in the US. However my favourite lunch spot in Singapore is this salad bar at an American Italian restaurant called Pete’s Place. The bar is just loaded with all kinds of veggies. I could go a few rounds just eating my veggies. I’m so amazed at the trendy fusion Asian food they have now in LA and I really am into these trendy eateries and cafes I always see you and your husband go to. You make me want to make a trip to LA! I enjoy all your food videos

I wish Singapore has as many healthier food options! Unfortunately for me, my favourite lunch spot is this food court near my workplace which serves all kinds of local delicacies (which aren’t healthy!) Will definitely pop by Greenleaf if I ever visit LA!

Well that made me extremely hungry lol. The salad dish on the left of the picture reminded me of a salad I ate in Arizona at Citizen Public House. It’s called The Original Chopped Salad and it is beyond delicious. I live in Europe, so I cant go and enjoy it again, but if you and Hubbs are ever in AZ, you need to go to Scotsdale and try this salad!

There’s a salad place in Charleston, SC where I live called Verde where you can go in and either choose a salad from their menu or build your own. It’s one of my favorite places to go with friends because I still feel like I have tons of options yet it’s still fairly healthy.
