Today’s blog post is all about new the La Prairie Cellular Radiance Perfecting Fluide Pure Gold. This is an incredibly luxurious skincare product priced at $525 in the U.S. Probably one of the most expensive skincare products I have encounter recently, but with the promise of recreating the magic of the golden hour and making skin glow with an immediate golden luminosity, and enhancing a flawless skin finish, I had to test it out myself and review it for you.

The La Prairie Cellular Radiance Perfecting Fluide Pure Gold is filled with instant and long term benefits for the skin. Here is what La Prairie says:
Instant Results
Cellular Radiance Perfecting Fluide Pure Gold instantly enhances skin’s luminosity and radiance as it’s bathed in a coveted glow. Skin looks enriched, with a fine, soft-focus finish.
Long-Term Benefits
Over time, with continued use, skin quality is improved from deep within, as texture is continuously refined and smoothed. Cellular Radiance Perfecting Fluide Pure Gold optimizes skin’s regenerative capacity, restores and preserves its integrity and rejuvenates its appearance.
The Gold Science Platform consists of a Golden Peptide, having a remarkable effect on collagen synthesis, to help keep skin’s appearance youthful and vital-looking. This collagen-boosting peptide helps improve skin quality below the surface, where radiance begins, for smoother-looking skin that reflects light at its best. Collagen plays an important role in keeping skin firm and naturally declines with aging. It plays another lesser known role, supporting the brightness of skin, and the luminosity that comes from within when skin is young. Collagen acts as a mirror, scattering light back toward the skin’s surface. When collagen declines, not as much light is reflected and the skin takes on a dull tone. If you can increase the amount of collagen in the skin, you can take it back to the way it looked at a younger age.
The Golden Lotus Japonicus Blend helps promote youthful looks and an even complexion thanks to the unique association of powerful components from an extraordinary flower: Lotus Japonicus.
My Thoughts:
After using it day and night for a week, I immediately felt a tightening effect on my face as well as my jawline and neck. I noticed the skin texture to be smooth, and radiant. It is a subtle difference, but I felt younger and more awake when looking in the mirror. When I asked my husband if I looked any different after applying the La Prairie Cellular Radiance Perfecting Fluide Pure Gold, without knowing what I had done or what the cream was suppose to do, he immediately said “your face looks lifted and firmer.” With that response, I immediately justified the cost of the product. Anything to keep my face looking firm and lifted as I gracefully age, lol.
I will need to continue to use the product for awhile to notice if there are any long term changes, but the immediate is very apparent and true to the claims. While I don’t think the La Prairie Cellular Radiance Perfecting Fluide Pure Gold is right for everyone, I do believe it is an amazing product for those of us reaching our thirties and beyond who want to invest our money in high quality luxurious skincare to help reverse the signs of sun damage and aging.
Have you tried any La Prairie products before? What were your thought? I would love to hear them in the comments below.

Hi Serein,
Thanks for this post. The product seems to be good. But it’s too expensive for me.

Totally understandable.
You should try or look into the Peter Thomas Roth 3% Retinoid Plus. I’ve been using this for about 2 weeks and the results are amazing! If you do end up trying it I would recommend using it every other night in the beginning until your skin adjusts to it because it can be very drying since its so strong.

in Greece this brand is also very expensive.

why can’t it all be free! LOL
I have not tried La Prairie products yet. The most I paid for my daily moisturizer was $250 and, honestly, I felt the difference when compared it to my usual $100 moisturizers. When it comes to skincare, higher price does transforms into better quality products, and as we age, we need a good product to see good results. Great post as always, Serein! xo Zuma

It’s sad, but true a lot of the times.
