Another Monday, another Makeup Bag Monday. Every week I share with you what I have chosen from my current makeup collection with new makeup to review. This will be a collection of products to rediscover, new products to test, and products to give one last go before hitting the bin. Come back every Monday to find out how the previous week went with mini makeup reviews and see what I have selected for the new week ahead. Recently, I have been focused on summer makeup.
Let’s get back on track. It has definitely taken me a bit to get my life back on trace since I left for Miami Swim Week. If you want to see all the makeup I brought with me to Miami and what I actually used, make sure to check out my What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag video. On a side note, I’ll be off again this Sunday for a super exciting project that I cannot wait to share with you guys! Make sure you are following me on Twitter and Snapchat (@sereinwu) for the latest update. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to share the news, but twitter and snapchat will be the place to get the up to date information.
Now let’s revisit my last Makeup Bag Monday post and see how I liked the products.
Makeup Bag Week 16
Week 16 was a surprisingly affordable week for makeup bags. With drugstore week on my channel, I had discovered some great drugstore beauty finds and have continued to use them.
Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector champagne pop $41
A great liquid highlighter or mixing agent for foundation to get the extra glow from within. Not something I would reach for a lot, but I have oily and dry skin. I could see this being a handy product for the winter time.
PUR Cosmetics Glow Together Bronzer $34
Really love this bronzer, it’s so versatile. When you swirl it together, it’s the perfect all over bronze glow.
Palladio Baked Bronzer in Atlantic Tan $9.99
A gorgeous bronzer highlight for the cheeks or eyes. Quite impressed with Palladio products and need to pick up more.
COVERGIRL truenaked eyeshadow palette in goldens $11.99
Probably the most impressive drugstore eyeshadow palette I’ve tested. The colors are wearable and decently pigmented. Still not quite as good as the Urban Decay Naked, but a good affordable option that won’t disappoint for the price.
bareMinerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipstick in friendship $18
I really love this comfortable matte liquid lipstick. Not as long lasting as most liquid lipsticks, but it will not dry out your lips and it wears off evenly. Highly recommend.
bareMinerals Gen Nude under over lip liner in vibe $16
This is a great lip liner and I actually brought it with me to Miami. A good mauve/ nude liner works with almost any lip color in your makeup bag.
This Week’s Makeup Bag
Today’s Makeup Bag Monday Week 17, focuses on a few new products that I’ve been needing to test out and revisit. The Cover FX Custom Cover Drops was a fail for me the first time I tried it when it came out. However, my skin has changed, and while I do not want to be a chemist and mix my makeup every morning, I am giving this another go. I ordered the LORAC Pro 3 before I left for Miami and it arrived just before I left, so I have been dying to play with this new palette and had to throw it in this week’s makeup bag. The rest were items that I felt needed a good week long test.
LORAC PRO 3 $44
COVER FX Custom Cover Drops N35 $44
Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpt Lip #10 #11 $27
Jouer Mineral Powder Blush in Bloom $26 (USE: SEREIN15 for 15% off all Jouer.com purchases)
OFRA Beverly HIlls Highlighter $39.95 (USE: SEREIN30 for 30% off all OFRA.com purchases)
Hope you have a lovely week!
