Marc Jacobs Beauty New Le Marc Lip Cream Hits the Mark

I’ve been drooling over the new Le Marc Lip Creme from Marc Jacobs Beauty, sold exclusively at Sephora. To my complete and utter surprise I came home to 7 of the gorgeous red shades last week. If you watch my channel or follow me on Instagram (@sereinwu) you  know that I’m crazy about my red lipsticks. Seriously opening these I almost cried. I know I’m weird crying over lipstick.

Marc Jacobs reformulated their lipsticks and created these beautiful Le Marc Lip Creme. There are 20 shades available. The Le Marc Lip Creme  claims to give you a rich color payoff, creamy texture, and last 10 hours. All the names are women who have inspired Marc Jacobs throughout his life.

The first shade I tested out was Blow. The deep burgundy warm tone shade is just my shade. I have to say when I applied it, I was not expecting it to last as long as it did. When they say 10 hours, they mean 10 hours. The formulation is creamy, rich, and smooth. The color doesn’t slip or slide once applied and it’s not drying at all. After a coffee meeting, where I blotted my lipstick off (or so I thought) so I wouldn’t leave a lipstick mark on my coffee cup, I went home, looked in the mirror and realized this sucker was still there! We are talking serious longevity.

Throughout my day I’ll feel my lips getting a little dry, which is typical and I’ll apply a little lip balm to hydrate. This step in my routine actually revives the lip color and smooths out any patches that might have faded.

The next shade I tried was Je T’ Aime a beautiful daytime red with a little coral base to it. Again the color went on beautifully and lasted all day. For someone who hates reapplying makeup or fussing over it once I leave the house, these lipsticks are the answer to my prayers. If you get a little sick of me raving about these in the days to come, I’m sorry, but it is so rare to find shades I love with formulations i’m so gah gah over! If you wonder what I’ll be wearing? It’ll be these beauties for awhile.

After loving the lipsticks so much, I picked up the new Outliner Longer Lip Pencil in Prim(Rose). Let me just say this sucker is the lip liners of all lip liners! First off I had swatched the 3 shades available on my wrist at Sephora and washed my hands, 5 times and the suckers were still there! I actually stopped counting how many times I’d washed my hands the rest of the day.

The lip liners are perfect for defining your lips and keeping your lip color in place. The three shades offered are all nude based for this reason. The long wearing lip liner is collagen infused and designed to work seamlessly with the whole range of Le Marc Lip Cremes. Prim(rose) reminds me of MAC Soar, which is almost always sold out. Honestly get the Marc Jacobs one, it’s worth the price difference. You won’t need to reapply and the formula is easy to use.

After trying out the Le Marc Lip Cremes, I have to say they are better than my other high end lipsticks, including my Tom Ford. While I love my Tom Ford Lipsticks, they can be a little drying and they definitely do not last as long as the Le Marc. Also while Le Marc is considered a high end lipstick, it retails for $30 compared to the $50 for Tom Ford. Also, I rarely re apply my Le Marc, so they will last FOREVER!
