This morning I’ve noticed that I reach for the same beauty products consistently while staying home so I thought it would be a good idea to create a post of my beauty must haves of 2020 so far. Seems fitting as we’ve also just hit the half year mark. Wow does time seem to be flying by. I can’t believe that I’ll be a mom in less than 4 months! We can’t wait to meet our baby girl, but there’s still so much to do.
I found that after my No Buy Year, I have started to consume less and tend to stick to my favorites when it comes to beauty. While I never want to promote excessive spending or beauty hoarding, here are my beauty must haves of 2020 so far.
Let me know if you’d like a detailed skincare post.
My Beauty Must Haves
Kosas Chemistry Sport in serene clean is my all time favorite clean deodorant EVER! Leave it to one of my favorite brands to solve all my clean deodorant woes. This deodorant uses AHAs to fight BO, prevent razor bumps, and discoloration! I love the light scent of serene clean, but they also offer a fragrance free version. Both Chris and I are in love with this deodorant.
Lebone Toothpaste It might seem strange to have a favorite toothpaste, but I’ve been a fan for years of Lebone. They make clean dental care luxurious and fun. With unique flavors and beautiful packaging this makes for a daily beauty must haves for sure.
Kosas Revealer Concealer in 3.5 has been my goto since the launch. Full video review here. This concealer is buildable, brightening, and conceals while offering good for skin ingredients. Use alone or with base for more coverage. Most days I don’t even set it.
Maybelline Dream Urban Cover was a discovery thanks to Melissa Alatorre. I did a full Tester Tuesday first impression on IGTV and was amazed at the finish this base offered me. I’m in the shade 220 and so is Melissa. Full foundation reference available on my FAQ page.
Chanel Water Fresh Tint in medium has been my go to fancy put together days. Chris bought this for me a few weeks before stay at home orders and I find everytime I use it I enjoy it more. A luxurious water base tint that looks like skin, but offers a perfect amount of coverage for the no makeup makeup look.
I wouldn’t say you needed both the Maybelline Dream Urban Cover and Chanel Water Fresh Tint in your own personal beauty must haves, but if you enjoy more coverage go with the Maybelline. If you are on a budget Maybelline can also be sheared out for a similar effect of the Chanel Water Fresh Tint.
Kosas 10 Second Eyeshadow in Globe is my goto eyeshadow. Smudge proof and easy to apply. It's also super lightweight and feels effortless.
Lip Bar Everyday Eyeshadow in Brown Bombshell is another IGTV Tester Tuesday discovery. Affordable, Black owned, and highly pigmented. This little quad packs a punch and is versatile in day to night looks. A beauty must haves for 2020 for sure!
Laura Mercer Lip Liner in Hazelnut Tea has been my goto since running out of my Jouer lip liner in sable. The perfect YLBB shade.
Lily Lolo Mascara I’ve repurchased this multiple times and it’s one of my favorite clean volumizing mascaras.
Jouer Cosmetics Champagne & Macaron Face Palette in Sweet Cheeks (use: “serein15” for 15% off the entire order) This is the perfect face palette with bronzer, two blushes, and a highlight. You can use the powders all over the face and on the eyes for an effortless makeup look. A beauty must have for sure with its versatility.
Lawless Soft Matte Liquid Lipstick in George was an almost loss before filming this video and rediscovering my love for the shade and formula. Clean, longwearing, non drying, and the perfect everyday color.
Bath Time Favorites
I’ve been enjoying baths more during my pregnancy and it’s a way for me to just chill. So I finally invested in this Bath Pillow to make my bath time more comfortable.
Also picked up this Bath Tray to place my water bottle and phone on.
For after showers and baths, I’ve been using Shea Moisture 100% Shea Butter mixed with
Grown Alchemist Pure Rosehip Oil to rub all over my belly, bum, and upper thighs. Shea butter and rosehip oil are said to help prevent stretch marks although stretch marks are said to be mainly genetic.
For a nice natural easy bronze, I’ve been loving the St. Tropez Purity Vitamins Bronzing Water and the St. Tropez Purity Vitamins Bronzing Face Serum I’ll be testing out some more clean self tanners coming soon, but so far these are my beauty must haves of 2020 thus far.
What are some of your beauty must haves for 2020 so far? Do you find you reach for the same products daily? Make sure to share with me in the comments or over on Instagram.
Not quite beauty related, but I’ve also been obsessed with my new affordable luxury sheets. Read about it here.
