A few weeks ago I was invited by the Sephora, Santa Monica location to attend a blogger daytime smokey eye makeup class. The event was to share with us some of the educational services offered by Sephora locations worldwide. The Sephora, Santa Monica location is my personal favorite to visit. The store is always well stocked. There are brands available in-store at the Santa Monica location that are not available at many others. Santa Monica’s staff is always knowledgeable and super friendly as well. Whenever I am looking for a new release, they go beyond expectations to help me find what I am looking for.
I kind of always knew about the classes offered in-store, but never really looked into it. Honestly, YouTube is my classroom most of the time, but it was nice to be able to watch a live demonstration and ask questions. What I found so unique about the class is how everything is broken down for you. They really want you to be able to go home and re-create the looks. When you arrive you will have everything you need to take notes, experiment on yourself, and truly play. The class series is really a great service they are providing, especially if you’d like to update your makeup look or expand your makeup skills. It’s a great way to get hands on. The best part is, unlike YouTube, you can try it on yourself as you watch the demonstration, and ask for help if something isn’t working. If all education was this fun and simple, I probably would have a doctorate by now.
If you every find yourself in Santa Monica, make sure to pay the 3rd Street Promenade Sephora location a visit! Seriously some of the best folks around and such a great store. You might even bump into me and we can shop together!
It wouldn’t be a blogger event without some yummy treats from Sidecar Doughnuts and beautiful flower arrangements from Lilla Bello , along with some bottomless mimosas. For this light-weight, those mimosas a treat. You can watch the vlog here. All around a great start to an early Sunday morning. I also am now eyeing the beautiful Burberry palette in Mocha No. 2 that the artist used to demonstrate the beautiful, wearable, daytime smokey eye look. Burberry makes some beautifully soft shadows as I mentioned in a recent Makeup Bag Monday post.
Defiantly recommend giving the Sephora makeup Classes a try! You can always check the website for upcoming classes and enroll online. Maybe we could all take a class together? That would be so much fun! Please let me know if you plan on signing up for a class or if you have already attend one. I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback if you have taken a Sephora class before.

This is awesome, Serein! I always heard about the classes, but never thought of going. I do too use Youtube as my beauty school, but it is so nice to do it in person sometimes. Beautiful pics! xoxo Zuma

This is one of the many reasons why I miss Sephora but the closest one is 3 hours drive away so these days I do all my Sephora shopping online.

What an awesome makeup class! And so sweet too! I would love to enrol in some classes but I rarely find any worthwhile over here.
