Chris also obsessively researches YouTube trends, analytics, and how to grow my channel. Remember consistent growth is better than huge spikes and plateaus.

WHY?

When looking back at the start of my channel. The moment when I knew I wanted to do this as more than a hobby, I wish I had help. Many times I would search for videos and blog posts, but they are all kind of the same generic topics. After trying to write tips here to help you, I realize it’s almost impossible to help content I don’t know. of course we will continue to offer content creator tips here on the blog. This new service is to truly help those who want it. Those who are at a precipice with their content.

This new consulting service is for those who have a channel, blog, or social media account and would like to grow and/or turn it into a business. Learn about how to work with brands and what brands are looking for. So here’s Chris.

Since this is the first time that most of you have met me, I thought I’d introduce myself and share a little bit about my background.

MY BACKGROUND AND WHY I CAN HELP YOU

You know when an actor wins an award for “best performance” or “best supporting,” they get up on stage and thank their agent and manager? I was that guy. For over a decade, I was a talent agent and manager in Hollywood. My job was to do everything in my power to build and guide the careers of actors and models I represented.

Being an agent in Hollywood, is both exactly what you imagine and absolutely nothing like what you imagine. It is both glamorous and foul in equal parts and not for the weak.

I bring up this part of my life because without it, I wouldn’t be sitting and writing this blog post.

HOW WE MET

As you may or may not know, Serein was an actor. This is how we met. Serein, was an actor and I was her agent…Yes, we really are that cliche.

When Serein, decided that she enjoyed creating content for youtube more than she enjoyed acting and wanted to pursue it full time, I was completely on board.

Serein, works harder than anyone I have ever met. I’ve seen entire production crews that cannot handle a tv commercial, but Serein, produces content daily. It’s actually more impressive then you can imagine. So when she started having PR companies and brands reach out to her I asked if I could look over the contracts she was being offered. I REALLY didn’t want her to feel like I was invading her space because she was doing an amazing job and this was her baby. I just wanted to see if my skills as an agent could help maximize each situation.

Looking back now I realize what an extremely important moment this was for us as both a married couple and as business partners. Though I don’t think either of us knew it at that time.

BE CAREFUL

To make a long story short, I realized VERY quickly that there were a TON of things wrong with the deals she was being offered. Therefore I started redrafting the agreements and we started seeing more revenue on each deal. As well as protecting Serein and the content she creates.

HOW I CAN HELP

I started to become a little obsessed with how to make this endeavor work with the absolute most effectiveness. Everyday I researched and researched and did everything I could to learn anything and everything about social media, SEO, YouTube Analytics, Photo Shop, Cameras, Lighting and more.

To be honest, it was very similar to what I did when I first started out as an agent. I looked for the best ways to build my clients careers.

This is something I truly enjoy. I love assessing a situation and coming up with a plan to make it better.
