I live a high stress life and am just a high strung person so whenever I get the chance I try to take the time to relax. When I’m stressed you start to see it in my skin and mood. Today I’m excited to be working with one of my long time favorite brands First Aid Beauty to bring you a full day of relaxation. Because we can all use a little me time.

5 STEPS TO RELAXATION WITH FIRST AID BEAUTY
Nowadays we all are always on the go and connected. Here are five easy and affordable ways for a day of relaxation.
STEP 1 GET CLEAN
I don’t know about you, but I need a clean makeup free face to start relaxing. Because I blocked out the day to relax, I didn’t need to remove any makeup. So I kept it simple.
SIMPLE and EFFECTIVE SKINCARE
Start off with a gentle cleanse, I recommend the face cleanser from FAB. I’ve used it for years and does a nice job at cleansing, but not stripping.
Next I am applying the new First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cannabis and Oat Dry Oil, check it out HERE. I’ve been using this dry oil for a few months now and absolutely love it!
For me it’s a simple product that soothes my stressed skin, hydrates while also absorbing quickly. Because it’s a dry oil, I’m able to use it under makeup too! My makeup actually looks better over this oil.

KEY INGREDIENTS of ULTRA REPAIR CANNABIS and OAT DRY OIL
-
- Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil - derived from hemp, this oil is rich in omegas, and helps calm and soothe stressed skin.
- Arnica Montana Flower Extract - helps accelerate skin’s natural
healing process.
-
- Colloidal Oatmeal - Helps calm and soothe dry or distressed skin.
- Borage Seed Oil - An emollient oil that helps hydrate and soothe damaged, irritated skin
I love this oil because it helps calm and soothe any irritation I’m dealing with usually caused by stress and lack of sleep. I’ve also used this oil to take down any irritation from over use of testing new products (yay hazards of my job).
It’s easy to use day and night and can be mixed with your moisturizers for an extra boost of hydration. It’s also packed with 16 active cold press botanicals, no wonder my skin loves it.
Bonus: the product is clean, cruelty free, vegan, and safe for sensitive skin. CLICK HERE TO SHOP

STEP 2 GET COMFY
I don’t know about you, but comfort is so important for my ability to relax. My bed is the comfiest place in my apartment. Each pillow is carefully selected and so are the sheets and comforter. Find your comfiest spot, slip into a cozy soft robe and let the relaxing begin.
STEP 3 SET THE MOOD
I’ve been really enjoying rope incense in rose. The ones I use are clean to burn and breath in. The warm fragrance and smoke sets a peaceful environment. So find yourself some calming music, candles, lighting, whatever it is, take the time to set the mood for your relaxation time.
STEP 4 HYDRATE
When I’m stressed, I usually find myself dehydrated, also why I love the Ultra Repair Cannabis Oat and Dry Oil. My stressed skin needs all the hydration it can get inside and out.
Make sure you drink plenty of water and make yourself a calming beverage. For relaxing, I like to switch to teas.
STEP 5 NETFLIX AND CHILL
Whatever your preferred pastime is, enjoy a couple hours of it. Depending on my mood I enjoy watching Netflix, catching up on youtube videos, and reading.
For me reading is the ultimate relaxing activity. I rarely have time to sit down and dedicated time to read a physical book, so it’s a real treat for me when I do.
If you’re short on time, I suggest a 10 to 15 minute meditation. It’s amazing what 10 minutes focused on calming the mind can do. Check out my post about meditation HERE.
MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF
No matter how you choose to relax, make sure to make it a priority. Stress is a killer and we all have to make an effort to combat the daily stresses that affect our mind and our skin.
What are some of your favorite ways to relax?
CHALLENGE
Now I challenge you to block out a few hours this week to relax. Try out the new First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cannabis and Oat Dry Oil. Report back and let me know you took the time to take care of yourself this week.

I also find tea very soothing when I want some caffeine but don’t want to get my coffee dose. Coffee is reserved for crunch time while tea is for calming and relaxing. I don’t know. Am I the only weird one here?
Love the review on the oil, too!
I enjoyed their cleanser so much! Really need to explore more products – especially the dry oil you mentioned! xox

You’d love it Katya!
Love the post! I for sure set a few hours a week to relax. Sometimes I just sit in the bath tub and read, other times I binge watch You Tube. I’d love to try the Fresh cannabis and oatmeal dry oil! Sounds awesome!

Thanks for stopping by Jo!
Lately, I’ve been using ASMR to relax, specifically hair brushing. Headphones on, blocking out everything else and it just melts me into a puddle of stress-free relaxation. It honestly works better than most things I’ve tried. I also love aromatherapy, and science has proven that petting an animal lowers blood pressure so I love on the fur children as well.
Oh, and… ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Love this! Good read ☀️❤️
Stress is terrible for our bodies and minds. We all should find time just for ourselves, thank you for the recommendations!
I hope that you have a great week! xo.

Love a good book to. Loving your channel and blog. It’s helping me find clean make up and beauty and trying harder to recyle more. And I now have a note book to write down all the beauty and make up i would like but really shouldn’t be wasting money on has i already have so much.
