Life Changes and StyleCon OC

This year has been crazy good to me and the last few weeks have been insane! There has been many downs, but also a lot of ups. Currently I’m sitting in a disaster zone that will eventually be my office and beauty room. If you do not follow me on social media or watch my vlog channel, I’m moving to a new part of L.A. for the first time in 8 years.

When I first moved to L.A. I found myself settling in Studio City. Since my first move, I have returned home to Orange County briefly to re group, but have always found apartments within a 5 mile radius of my first apartment. After getting married, Hubs and I found a great town house for rent with attached garage, washer/dryer hook ups, and storage unit. These amenities are a gem in L.A. Due to the owners lack of maintenance, the town homes became unlivable and hazardous. We found all this out a week before we were suppose to leave for NYC, so I could attend Generation Beauty by Ipsy.

So… decision had to be made and we did not want to settle into another potential hazardous living environment that was over priced, sadly most of the apartments and town homes in Los Angeles are poorly kept and need lots of work. We also were not ready to buy a home just yet. We wanted a fresh start. The last 2 years have been challenging, with career changes for both myself and hubs as well as a lot of emotional baggage that caused the necessary changes. Relationships had to be severed, growth had to happen. A new start was needed. While I was happy with the changes, I still felt stuck and stagnant. I needed to get out of town and just process.

While I was in NYC, I was approached by my friends from Sleek Hair about StyleCon. Sleek Hair has always been good to me and supported my channel from the beginning. Hearing about StyleCon and the changes coming to Sleek Hair made me so happy and excited for them!
