Chris and I have been a one bedding set household since we met 10 years ago. This means we wash our sheets every Sunday evening and many times end up staying up and waiting for sheets to dry. With a baby on the way, I thought it would be time for some adulting. In this case upgrading bedding to having two sets! I also wanted to invest in quality sheets. Unfortunately quality sheets using sustainable materials are quite pricey. So when I discovered the new Casaluna™ Target bedding upgrade, I had to test them out.
MY DREAM BEDDING
Originally I was eyeing Parachute Home’s linen sheets. Honestly I’ve been eyeing them for a few years. While these are still on my wish list for one day, it just didn’t seem like the right time to drop close to a thousand dollars on new bedding.
When we were browsing through Target looking at baby stuff, I happened to walk down the bedding aisle and noticed the new Casaluna™ line. Touched it, looked at the label, and was impressed.
TARGET BEDDING UPGRADE
I decided to go with the Casaluna™ jersey set in white first. The set includes: 1 fitted sheet, 1 flat sheet, and 2 standard pillowcases.
We added a set of king size pillow cases as well. I like pillows.
For the duvet cover, we choose this one in natural.
After putting everything on the bed, we fell in love with the instant bedroom upgrade. Sleeping on the ultra soft jersey sheets was also lovely.
Because we only had the one set to begin with, we washed it for a solid 3 to 4 washes and the sheets held its shape. The fabric did not pill and still felt fresh and soft.
MORE TARGET BEDDING UPGRADE
So last week I purchased the linen set in white. Along with the king pillowcases in linen. The linen set is a bit pricey compared to the jersey, but worth every penny. We’ve been having a heatwave in L.A. Even with the air on 24/7 it gets warm in bed. Having quality linen sheets helps keep us cool.
The best part about the Casaluna™ at Target is that they are certified Made in Green — tested for harmful substances and produced sustainably.
I really appreciate Target’s efforts to provide more sustainable products that’s also accessible for all.
I’ll be sure to update once we’ve had the sheets for a while, but for the price I have to say I’m pretty impressed with them so far.
Could this be a new step to affordable and sustainable products?
Chris and I recently added this dresser that matches this one at the foot of our bed. We’ve been using plastic bins to store his clothes before the new addition. The lamp added more light and fresh flowers always brighten a room.
Would you like to see more home posts? We’ve been trying to do what we can on a budget to make our home feel more us. We’ve always rented and made our home decor an afterthought in the past. Now with a stay at home and a baby on the way, we want to do more to feel like it’s ours even if we are renting.
