This blog post is about finding the best walking shoes.

Hey there, fellow moms and busy professionals! If you're anything like me, you know the importance of finding the perfect pair of walking shoes that can keep up with your active lifestyle while still rocking that trendy, stylish look. Whether you're chasing after little ones, conquering the daily grind, or exploring the magic of family adventures, having the right shoes can make all the difference. Today, I'm excited to share my personal journey of discovering the best walking shoes that have become my trusted companions during my countless trips to Disneyland and beyond.
The Three Contenders: My Top Picks for Best Walking Shoes
As a self-proclaimed shoe enthusiast and a mom who practically lives at Disneyland, I've embarked on a quest to discover the best walking shoes. With an average of 1 to 2 trips to Disneyland each week, sometimes even 3, I've found myself covering a minimum of 12,000 steps per visit – and yes, I've hit a staggering 22,000 steps during some magical days! When you do the math, it adds up to approximately 17,000 steps per visit each week, a whopping 68,000 steps a month, and nearly 1 million steps a year. Today, I'm thrilled to share the results of my personal journey – the three remarkable contenders for the title of the best walking shoes that have supported me through every single step of my incredible journey.

Nike Air Force 1: Classic Comfort and Versatility
When it comes to iconic style and versatile comfort, the Nike Air Force 1 is a true winner. As a devoted mom and an avid traveler, I wanted a shoe that could effortlessly accompany me through various activities without compromising on style. These all-white sneakers not only offer a classic silhouette that goes with practically everything, but they also proved to be reliable companions during my Disneyland adventures.
Pros:
The Nike Air Force 1s boast a stable flat walking base, making those long walks a breeze. They are fairly priced at $120. Plus, they're easy to style and maintain – a quick wash and they're good as new!
Cons:
After a consistent year of wear, I did notice some wear and tear on the heel area. However, this minor drawback didn't overshadow the overall quality.
Would I repurchase? Absolutely, without hesitation. These shoes exceeded my expectations and proved their worth.

Dr. Scholl’s Platform Time Off Sneakers: Style and Comfort Combined
I couldn't resist the allure of the Dr. Scholl’s Platform Time Off Sneakers, especially after they gained popularity on TikTok. With claims of being the ultimate travel companion, these sneakers promised comfort, style, and a flattering platform sole – the trifecta for any busy mom on the go.
Pros:
These sneakers come with built-in Dr. Scholl’s inserts, providing exceptional comfort. They're affordable at around $70 and incredibly stylish, making them a favorite for both daily wear and travel adventures.
Cons:
The platform sole can throw off weak ankles, so if stability is a concern, you might want to tread with caution.
Though I haven't had these as long as my Nike Air Force 1s, I find them slightly less comfortable due to the platform sole. However, for the sake of style during my travels, I'm willing to make the trade-off.
Would I repurchase? Absolutely. While they might not beat my Nike's in terms of comfort, they're perfect for adding a touch of style to my journeys.

Reebok Women's DMX Comfort + Slip on Sneaker: Slip-On Convenience
The Reebok DMX Comfort + Slip on Sneaker won my heart with its slip-on convenience and promise of arch support. While these shoes are a newer addition to my collection, they have quickly become my go-to for teaching (I’m a Lagree Fitness Instructor) and casual walking.
Pros:
The slip-on design and thick sole provide excellent arch support, making them great for extended periods of standing or walking.
Cons:
The sole might be a bit too cushioned for some, potentially causing stability issues, especially on uneven surfaces.
I love these shoes for teaching and casual strolls, but they might not be the best choice for an intense day of walking. They're perfect for knee comfort but could potentially hinder stability on tricky terrains.
Would I repurchase? Certainly. They're my top choice for teaching and light walking, though I'd opt for my Nike Air Force 1s for those longer walks.
Conclusion
And there you have it, fellow moms and adventurers – my journey in finding the best walking shoes. From the classic comfort of Nike Air Force 1s to the trendy appeal of Dr. Scholl’s Platform Time Off Sneakers and the slip-on convenience of Reebok DMX Comfort + Slip on Sneakers, these shoes have been by my side through every step of my journey.
