Recently I was asked if I’d be interested in trying out Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind. When I saw the packaging and the simple easy to wear shades, I jumped at the opportunity. My goal on my channel (subscribe if you haven’t yet) and for this blog is to help you discover new brands and products. Let’s face it, if your reading this blog I think of you as my friend and I like to help my friends out.
What really drew me to the line was the simplicity of the colors. For most women out there, simplicity, neutral, and wearable is what we look for. I know, before I started my channel and blog I would get suckered into trends and packaging, buy the product, and NEVER wear it because who wears bright blue eyeshadow to school or work? Vintage is all about neutrals and classic wearable shades, that essential will never go out of style.
I was sent 3 products from the line and my two favorite products are the Brighten & Define Eye Shadow palette in Vanilla/Espresso. This is a universally flattering eyeshadow palette for all skin types and eyes. At first I was worried the espresso shade might be too dark to wear in the daytime, but I was shocked at how beautiful the two shades worked together on the the eyes creating a very eye opening effect. I applied Vanilla all over my eyes up to my brow bone. Using a fluffy blending brush I applied espresso in the crease focusing the color on the outer crease. This really defined my eyes and added a touch of bedroom eyes. I then went back over with vanilla to highlight the center of my lid and brow bone. The shadows are rich, pigmented, and long wearing.
The Velvet Lip Crayon is my second favorite item. The packaging is gorgeous and I alway love a good lip pencil and color in one. I wore the shade candy coral, which is a beautiful pinky coral color that looks great with the shadow duo. The lip crayon went on smoothly and wore off evenly. It’s not super long lasting or anything, but it was very comfortable on the lips, a very important factor for me in a lip product.
