I have always loved capes. The first cape I ever owned, my sister had made it for me in home economics, back when they still had home economics as an elective. The cape went beautifully with my Snow White costume, that I insisted on wearing everywhere. Today’s fashion blog post is dedicated to the theatrical side of my fashion senses. This gorgeous camel cape is from Zara.  I made the look more wearable by pairing it with some high waisted denim from Lucky, a gift from a friend, and a plain long sleeve tee from madewell. The booties are from H&M, and of course my beloved Chloe Faye back that I talked about in a recent post here.

The leather closures really add elegance to the cape. I love the cutouts for my arms. While a cape might not always be practical, I do love this adult version of my once treasured outer wear from my child hood.

Did you ever wear a costume around as a child? What was your goto childhood costume?
